John Proper was born into a hard-working and loving farm family near Shelbina MO.

Being the middle of two brothers, John realized at an early age that long days and a competitive spirit were the path to success.  Johns strict upbringing rewarded him in his youth with achievements in all he participated in.  His passion for sports was especially apparent.

John left home to make his way mindful of his upbringing.  He was especially aware that his parents encouraged him to pursue everything with passion and enthusiasm.  He became an employee at a young age for an office equipment dealer.  As a technician, automated mechanical systems were easy for John to understand given his background.  As a farmer’s son, John grew up in the farm shop repairing and maintaining his families equipment.

John’s boss soon recognized his young employees potential.  John was offered a field technician position in St Joseph Mo.  Never one to turn down a challenge, John packed up his old car and moved away from home at the age of 19. Soon after Johns arrival in St Joseph, Johns employer lost a major contract and was on the verge of closing its doors.  John quickly took action, unemployment was not an acceptable option.

Mindful of his parents wisdom, John was determined to make it on his own.  Despite only a few existing customers, no sales orders and no credit, the executives at Savin Corporation recognized Johns passion and enthusiasm.  By selling his old car, John became the youngest Authorized Savin Copier Dealer in history at the age of 20.

Today, thanks to long days and Johns competitive spirit, ProServ is an award winning industry leader in technology Solutions. Johns faith, civic pride and charitable nature continue to guide him.  Johns competitive spirit to strive for excellence is an inspiration to those around him. Now a father, husband and successful business owner, John Proper is poised to continue to achieve excellence.

Erin Proper
Owner

I was born and raised in St. Joseph, MO before attending the University of Kansas. After college, I returned to St. Joe where I met and subsequently, married John (and ProServ, ha). John and I still love and live in the St. Joe community now with two beautiful daughters, Katelyn and Elle. I look forward to them following Mom’s footsteps and becoming Jayhawks in the near future!

My passion and contribution to ProServ is serving our communities and people on a daily basis through charity, philanthropic work and local Chamber of Commerce events. We are so blessed to live in a community that supports one another throughout the year and that provides opportunities to offer my help with multiple events and multiple organizations. ProServ invests in the future of our community and the future leaders of our communities by supporting many school districts, school events, school socials, etc. to give all children an opportunity to participate and succeed in our city.

We look forward to ProServ continuing to grow and serve the St. Joe community and beyond. We hope this company is always an example to others of promoting wellness, supporting other local businesses, and becoming better every day. In a few years, we hope our girls have a passion to continue the legacy John, myself and the entire family at ProServ has created over the last 30 years.

Jeff Zeit
EXEC VP OPERATIONS & ADVISORY DIRECTOR

Jeff Zeit started his career with ProServ at the age of 19 in May of 1991 as a service technician trainee. Over the 30 years he has been at ProServ he has held numerous leadership positions throughout the organization to eventually land at Vice President Executive Director. He has an extensive experience in both service and sales and has been instrumental in the growth over the years. Jeff’s expertise and on going commitment to his customers and his fellow employees helps contribute to real family culture within ProServ. Outside the company, Jeff is a devoted husband and father to his wife and three boys, involving himself in both their academic and athletic activities. When time allows Jeff enjoys hunting and fishing as well as golf.

Rochelle, also better known as ‘Roc’, has served the ProServ clientele both internally and externally since January of 2002. She has performed many roles within the company over her tenure, from AR/AP Processing Clerk to Contract Management/Administration to leading a team of Revenue and Project Managers. When you can’t find her trying to perfect a shorter, straighter line to doing something, she will be trying to wrangle up her three little toddlers! Blessed with a beautiful family, Roc is a wife and mom of three at home in Platte City.

Craig Studley
CFO & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

My tenure with Pro Serv Business Systems started in 2011. I am responsible for the Financial, Human Resources, and daily Administration needs of Pro Serv Business Systems. It is exciting to be part of a growing, fast paced, and fun company.

I enjoy working at Pro Serv Business Systems do to our “Work Hard, Play Hard” mentality. We work hard for our customers. Whether it is the sales team, service team, or administration team, we do what is best for our customers. We also want our customers, fellow employees, and families to have fun as we continue to strive to be the best in our industry.

Prior to working at Pro Serv Business Systems, I spent 28 years in the steel industry with varying positions, Treasurer, Vice President of Operations and Director of Sales.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, twice. I have a Bachelor of Applied Arts in the Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Accounting degrees. I am also a Certified Public Accountant.

My wife, Alane and I live in St. Joseph, MO. We are very lucky to have two wonderful Poodles, Hope & Jetta. We are avid golfers, although my wife gets her name in the paper more than I do. We enjoy long walks with the dogs, traveling, and time with our friends.

Tom Wolken
COO & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As Director of Support Services at ProServ, Tom has more than 30 years of experience in the office equipment industry. He has spent most of his career in the technical and customer service side of the business. Tom works with internal and external customers daily to ensure the best possible service. Tom resides in Shawnee with his wife, Linda. They have 2 sons, Jarred and Brady, who attend college.

Max Ellis
Field Service Supervisor/Manager

I have had the pleasure of working for ProServ since July 1st, 2007. As a service technician I have the honor of building relationships with our customers. The most seen person our customers interact with is the technician. We in essence are the face of the company (TALK ABOUT PRESSURE!) lol. I was born and raised in Stanberry, MO and still live there to this day. I did however take a two-year stint in Kansas City while I received my Associates degree of Applied Science in Technology at the University of DeVry. I have a wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters.

Being a part of my family’s lives is the greatest honor I have experienced (which is another reason I love working for ProServ – the family atmosphere & family 1st moto). From coaching to leading youth group and everything in between, I take pride in how my girls have turned out.

Even though my wife and I are empty nesters, I still enjoy working with young people as a Spiritual Youth Leader in our community. Another interest that has consumed much of my life is strength training (although to look at my belly I better add more cardio). This is another benefit of working for ProServ, the company invests a great deal in promoting health and fitness with our own fitness center and personal trainer. The best way to find out more about me is to hire ProServ as your enterprise technology provider and I will soon walk through your door and may the relationship and partnership begin!!!

Cindy Kahler
Staff Accountant

I have worked for ProServ Business Systems for 8 years and believe it to be the BEST career choice I have ever made and feel lucky to be a part of the ProServ Family. I handle the day-to-day accounting operations as well as taking care of and setting up new and existing contracts. I consider myself a mature team member and adaptable to all challenging situations. I work well both in a team environment as well as using my own initiative.

I have high family values and consider my greatest accomplishment in life is being a great mother and grandmother. Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything I do both personally and professionally.
During my time away from work I am a devoted fan and the biggest cheerleader for all my grandson’s ball games and granddaughters’ gymnastic events.

Jeremy Blanton
Support Services Manager

Jeremy Blanton joined ProServ Business Systems in September 2013 as an IT Administrator providing strategic information technology services.

Jeremy, or “JBL” as the team calls him, is an experienced technology professional and leader. Driven by his passion for helping people, he takes pride in providing the best solutions possible. He leads technology activities and works with IT service units across multiple organizations. Jeremy brings over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology and has a diverse background in small, medium, and corporate settings.

At ProServ, he provides sales support and plays a role in the support services. He influences IT direction and helps coordinate infrastructure improvements and service delivery across the company. He has the privilege of assisting teams which support enterprise applications, enterprise data, research support, teaching and learning, user support, infrastructure, communications, and security.

Jeremy is a devoted husband and father. He enjoys reading, playing disc golf, basketball, running, and fitness. Some of his favorite authors include Andy Andrews, John G. Miller, Darren Hardy, Gary Coxe, John Acuff, and Dave Ramsey.

Jeff Reed
Director of Support Services

We can automate this, right?

Jeff Reed plays the position of IT Service Desk Manager inside of one of ProServ’s National Accounts. In this role, Jeff leads a team that manages a range of issues and services from application troubleshooting, to hardware purchasing and configuration, budgeting to project management, and everything in between. Jeff’s passion revolves around identifying a struggling process, understanding the business case, and reengineering it to be as streamlined and repeatable as possible. He reminds himself daily that hard work, humility, empathy, and kindness will always point one in the right direction. Some days may be easier than others!

Outside of the office, he is leading Team Reed, beside his better half Emily, and two young children, Luke and Erin. When not raising a family, you can find him playing video games, board games, disc golf, or watching Office Space for the hundredth time, not that anyone is counting.
